IRCKHF conducted verification of the International Youth Foundation’s (IYF) Youth for Future (Y4F) Program’s selected key performance indicators. Specific objectives of the verification included: ensuring the quality and completeness of the evidence and forms related to different M&E indicators by comparing the file records at IYF with the results in the online system and what has been reported to the donor (USAID); identifying gaps and/or redundancies in the current data documentation of related evidence and forms as well as the data collection process, and developing recommendations to improve the quality of data documentation. The methodology focused on using quantitative methods for verification of the selected key program indicators that were decided upon with the IYF. The verification involved comparing hardcopy data available at IYF premises with online data entered in the online systems or with soft copy records developed by IYF’s M&E team. Findings of data verified through the hard copy forms were compared to the total numbers achieved to date as reported in the Y4F January-March 2013 Quarterly Report, submitted to USAID, and recommendations were given for corrective action and improvements on the quality of data documentation.
