Empowering Civil Society through Community Media

2018

The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the role of civil society in promoting human rights and democratic reform, consolidating political participation and representation and having particular regard to women’s rights. In this project, IRCKHF is responsible for monitoring and reporting on how gender issues are handled in seven mix media platforms (Petra, Al Ghad, Ad Dustour, Khaberni, Ammon, Hala FM, and Farah Al Nas). This will be done through monthly reports that will focus on the way media content deals with gender focusing on terminologies and nuanced interpretations of how text, headlines, photos and cartoons deal with women.
