CSO Sustainability Index for the Middle East and North Africa

2015

The 2011-2015 Civil Society Organization Sustainability Index (CSOSI) for Jordan was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and administered by Management Systems International (MSI). They were designed to analyze different dimensions of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the civil society sector in Jordan. The seven dimensions of civil society organization which were reviewed, discussed and assessed included the legal environment for civil society organizations (CSOs), the organizational capacity of CSOs, the financial viability of CSOs, the advocacy efforts of CSOs, the service provision by CSOs, the existing civil society infrastructure, and the public image of civil society.
